In the beginning...

Hello blogging world!!

I was not an English major, please excuse any imperfections. I did write for my major Communication but it was news copy which does not follow MLA format so ha! Now speaking of imperfections, let me explain my blog's title.

"And He who was seated on the throne said, 'Behold, I am making all things new.' Also He said, 'Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.'" Revelation 21:5

This verse is an important verse. To me, to my husband, to all sinners. Though it is a short quote, so much is said here about our Father. His words ARE trustworthy and true! They are! He said it, I believe it! He IS making all things new!

When I think about these words, I think about my past (years ago, months ago, even days ago...yes, minutes ago). I am a sinner, a big one. I am selfish, prideful, jealous, judgemental, covetous, et cetera. Yet, the Lord has and continues to sanctify me making me new. The old is gone, the new has come. I still battle my flesh and my nature, but my identity is not in my sin. My identity is in Christ.

Bear with me as I am new (by position) and being made new (through the process of sanctification).

I have several goals for my blog (overachiever you may say, but usually not the case for me).

GOALS:
1. I would glorify the Lord by sharing what He is teaching me.
2. Someone would hear (or read) about the redeeming love of the Gospel!
3. Educate others on things I find intriguing.
4. Advocate for issues that are important to me.
5. And as life unfolds for the Ortiz's, I will share!

I have been encouraged by many blogs. My blog may pale in comparison to its inspiring predecessors but come along for the journey!

To my little blogger fish in a big blogging pond, heeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeee weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee goooooooooooooo!!!
